Delete your P1On account
You can delete your account and your data at any time, in the app or by e-mail. This page explains how, what is deleted and what is kept.
In the app
This is the fastest way. Access is revoked within 30 seconds.
- Open P1On and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Without the app
If you no longer have the app, or cannot sign in, ask us to delete your account by e-mail.
TODO: support e-mail address (owner to provide)
- Write from the e-mail address registered on your P1On account, with the subject "Delete my P1On account".
- We reply to that address to confirm the request. This is how we check that the account is yours.
- We then delete the account as described below, and tell you when it is done. We answer within one month at the latest (GDPR Art. 12(3)).
What is deleted
- Your profile and your sign-in account (e-mail address and credentials).
- Your push-notification tokens, live connections, and the invite codes and counters you created.
- If you are the only member of your home, the whole home: its readers, readings, summaries, insights, alerts, alert history, progress and invite links.
- Timing: your data becomes inaccessible within 30 seconds, and is physically deleted normally within 15 minutes and in every case within 24 hours.
What is kept, and for how long
- If other people are still members of your home, the home and its data stay in place for them. Only your own membership is removed, and if you were the only owner, the longest-standing member becomes the owner.
- Records that note who created something in a shared home (a reader, an alert, an invite) keep an anonymous internal identifier that no longer maps to any account.
- A deletion marker holding only your internal user id and the time of deletion is kept for 48 hours to make sure the deletion holds, then removed.
- Backups: copies can remain in our database backups for up to 35 days, until they roll off. We do not restore a backup in a way that would bring back a deleted account.
- Technical logs expire automatically after 30 days (14 days for incoming meter readings).
